The next 2 weeks of weeks are going to be hectic, or better said more hectic that usual.

Tomorrow L has to go the dentist to get 2 cavities filled on one side

This Friday my sister is coming to visit, it will be a short visit :( but sweet :)

On Sunday May 31 Dr.D starts yet another week of night float.

On Tuesday June 2 L has to go back to the dentist to get 1 cavity on the other side filled.

On Wednesday June 3 my parents come to visit us for a week :)

My parents leave on June 9, after dropping them off at the airport we need to hurry back to L's school for her end of school carnival.

On June 12 M has her 6 month post-op MRI/MRA (see moyamoya)to make sure everything is fine, I have faith in God that it will be (please keep her in your prayers).

I need a vacation!

Washing the portable DVD

I went with Dr.D to the hospital where he will start his ID fellowship next month, its about an hour away from home so I grabbed the portable DVD, that way M could watch a movie on the way and not be bored. Dr.D started driving and I kept trying to turn the DVD on but it wouldn't work. I had charged it for 2 hours in the morning, so I knew it had to have battery power. At a red light Dr.D grabbed it and he tried to turn it on convinced that I wasn't doing it right, but he didn't have any luck either. I turned to M who had been surprisingly patient waiting and said:

Me: I am sorry baby but it doesn't seem to be working.
M: Is it because I put all my water in it?
Me:(trying to stay calm)Why would you put water in your DVD player?
M: It was really dirty and I wanted to wash it, so it could be nice and clean.
Me: Your not supposed to do that!
M: I am really sorry mommy, I didn't know.

It all sounded so logical in her mind. It was dirty, so what do you do when something is dirty? you wash it... Sigh.... We no longer have a portable DVD player.

Mothers Day

Since I wasn't online during Mothers day I didn't get a chance to post about my day. I was registered for a 5k on Mothers day so we got up early and woke up the girls, who gave me there presents, I got earrings from everyone and then L gave me 2 cards and a poem she had made at school and M had made me a number of cards over the last week but she didn't know where they were so when I asked her she said " silly goose those are for next mothers day" it was so cute and funny (later on she found them and gave them to me). We arrived at the 5k around 7:30am and the race started at 8:15. Dr.D stayed with the girls in a children's tent they had set up with a concert, face painting and animal balloons. I finished the race in 35 minutes and 30 seconds and I am really happy with my outcome, especially since I only began "running" for the first time at the beginning of March. After the race we walked around and gave the girls some additional time in the tent and my friend Shanwhic h was also in the race and her son (whom M plans on marrying, lol) met up with us, it was a lot of fun. Next we went out to lunch (cheese steaks, yum!) and then came home. Dr.D and M took a nap and L and I watched a movie, after the movie we went to Marshall's to buy her some shoes for a dress she wanted to wear. Around 4pm we went over a friends house for a Mothers day get together. It was a really nice Mothers day. Happy belated Mothers day to all the mommies out there!

No potty break

I was just thinking about this. If you are a stay at home mom you dont even get a bathroom break. I cant think of another job in which you would not be able to get privacy while you use the bathroom.

Fortune Teller

Today L made one of those paper fortune tellers, the ones where you fold the paper into triangles. She was really excited to try it out on her first "customer" M. L instructed M to choose a color, she chose pink and then she chose the number 4. L opened up the flap to reveal her fortune which read "you are really pretty". M had a surprised look on her face and put her hand slightly over her mouth saying "L you are right I am pretty".
Love it!
